Veteran U.S. marketing executive joins international programmatic publishing leader
NEW YORK — August 9th, 2016 — Smart, a global provider of publisher-focused advertising technology, has named marketing veteran Corey Kronengold its Chief Marketing Officer, the company announced today.
The company, which plans to double its annual sales revenue in 2016 to $68 million, serves ads to 650 million unique visitors per month on 900 million devices, a third of them mobile, according to Quantcast.
“Corey Kronengold has led marketing efforts for a wide variety of ad-tech leaders, and will bring Smart the experience we need to expand our presence in North America and around the world,” said Smart CEO Cyrille Geffray. “As we continue to innovate in video and mobile, Corey will help us tell our story.”
As recently reported in AdExchanger, Smart’s integrated RTB and ad-serving platform enables it to increase revenue for publishers by maximizing direct-sold and programmatic opportunities, a process called Holistic Yield Management. The company also announced a partnership with AdVideum and an advanced vertical-video format on mobile.
Kronengold has been a marketing and communications strategist for ad-tech and online video since 1998, having led marketing efforts for Tremor Video, Innovid, Eyeview, Boxfish, ConvertMedia (acquired by Taboola), Twistage (acquired by Lexmark), and Eyeblaster.
He brings a proven ability to communicate complex technical aspects of products and services to varying audiences across the full spectrum of marketing channels.
