Smart Appoints New Brazil Country Manager

SAO PAOLO — December 27th, 2017 — Smart (formerly known as Smart AdServer), the fully transparent holistic ad monetization platform, has appointed Weverton Castro as Country Manager of its Brazilian operations. Castro joins the firm from global retargeting specialist, RTB House, where he was Sales Manager. Before that, he was in a similar role at commerce marketing leader, Criteo.

In his new role, Castro will be in charge of sales operations, strategy and strengthening Smart’s penetration in the Brazilian market.

Castro started earlier this month and is based in Sao Paulo. He reports directly to Sylvain Piquet, Chief Revenue Officer, Smart, based in London, UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Piquet said: “We are pleased to welcome Weverton to the team. His familiarity with the local culture, industry experience and passion for customer success make him a great match for this role, and will ensure that Smart further strengthens our market position in Brazil as well as continue delivering on client expectations.”
